Íslandsbanki, one of Iceland‘s largest commercial banks, has classified all its loans to VAXA as green loans.
After a detailed analysis of VAXA’s operations, Íslandsbanki classified the company’s financing as ‘sustainable loans’. That makes us one of few domestic companies eligible for this type of sustainable financing. The banks decision was made on the grounds that the company’s operations meet the requirement of environmentally sustainable management of living natural resources and land use and terrestrial biodiversity conservation’ in the banks narrowly defined sustainability framework.
